A Trip To Remember - North India It Is!

#Part1

They say "We travel not to escape life , but for life not to escape us". True to this saying we have nothing to lose but a world to see.. Here is yet another blog about my trip to North India - well a part of it ;)

This was my first air trip - so you can imagine the butterflies in my tummy and the excitement of knowing that mine was a window seat! Another positive part of the trip was my travel companion - my little bro Manthan Rao. Must say - Sometimes its not the places that you travel that excite you, but the person who you travel with makes the difference. Him being one of my best friends, I could be myself in the City that both of us were strangers to. So coming back to my trip - We reached the airport at 11PM on 15th June'18. Our trip was from the 16th Of June'18. As expected, our flight got got delayed from 12AM in the morning to 5AM. So I got liberty of roaming around Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru for a full 4 hours! I really do not recall a moment that I closed my eyes for a short nap - all I can remember is the embarrassed look on my bro's face as I could not stop talking, giggling and briskly walking around the entire time. From having Chai from Chai point to eating a burger at Mc D, 4 hours swiftly passed.

It was finally time of boarding. After all the selfies with the airplane(Spicejet) , we finally took to walking up the aircraft. And I must say, a felt a tear roll down my left cheek as I walked in and took my seat :D Every moment was worth capturing and I am grateful of having my bro done that! Yes. Another round of selfie until the instructions. We were done with the belting of our seats and off we took! The morning sun rise was a treat to our eyes. With the sun so up close and us amidst the clouds, Bengaluru looked even more beautiful though messier from up above. I held his hand a could stop myself from smiling and pointing at the wings of our airplane as it was taking off!

So after a 2 and half hour flight, it was time for us to get down - Indira Gandhi International Airport it was. Yes, finally it was Delhi!

From 18 degrees in Bengaluru, we landed to a whooping 45 dress at around 8AM in the morning. Somewhere in the pit of my tummy, I was scared if we can even survive the next 5 days plan that we had. Even amidst the extremities, me and Manthan winked at each other and walked out proudly :D

After having collected our baggage, we headed for our taxi and to our hotel. We reached there at around 9AM. We had just an hour's time left to start as per our schedule. we quickly freshed up in less than 30 mins and headed towards our transport - HoHo Travels it was. The starting point was 20mins from our hotel.

HOHO Bus -The Best Way to See Delhi - http://hohodelhi.com/

This is a tour bus provided by the Government Of Delhi - Must say, one of the best ways to roam around the city. The only reason being - this is a hop on and off bus facility which means we are allowed to visit all the places listed as per our ticket plan and hence we will wasting very less time rather than being carried away with photos or anything else. Therefpre, we have a lyuxury of an approximate of 45mins in each place. Yes, 45 mins is a really less time but considering we planned only a day visit, this was the best option for us.

So we first started with Red Fort. Everytime this monument was on TV, it was always a dream to be there. The first step outside the bus itself was nostalgic. As we had pre booked tickets, we directly went in. The place still has the essence of the fact that it once served as the main residence to the then Mughal emperors. It is also known as Lal Qila - deriving from its red-sandstone walls. Some of buildings are still very good shape. After having our share of photos and selfies, we moved to our next destination - The India Gate.

This was a dream come true moment. This monument has a lot of smiles, tears, candle-light marches and so much more. The flame with all its glory was adding to the pride! This was one of the moments that I will cherish my entire life :)

This has been the pattern for almost a week now. This new virus has not only drained people physically but also mentally. For some of us, this dry cough, sore throat has always been a part and parcel of our lives. But now even a minute of these feeling send a shiver down our spine. One is always worried if this routine is an indication of the scary virus. What is more worse is the thought that if you have got it and are giving it to others as well. Turning 30 ;)

This post is a special one ЁЯШК The one about - "Why God why ЁЯШн" birthday! A lot of of friends asked me, how special was your first birthday after being married this year? Did your husband make it memorable?   Well.. Here's a post dedicated to the Mr. for making it a beautiful celebration. From being an unplanned backpacker to being the almost Mr.Perfect planner Paveen ensured I enjoyed every bit of my birthday!  ЁЯШБ   I'm definitely not a fan of fancy resorts, so when we took an auto to Stone Wood resort at Gokarna, I almost felt more disappointed that we weren't staying at a hostel by the beach ЁЯЩИ But kudos for the arrangement! Having a beautiful hut by the pool was so serene! and when it was time for the cake cutting, we were trying to find the perfect place by the beach.. and we made it to cutting the cake with dj at a restaurant!    The most memorable part of the celebration was a sky lantern. I'd been bragging about wantin...

Happy Trails To You!

"Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go” – A quote that suits me so beautifully well. Before I want to write about my winter trek, I would proudly want to call this a personal achievement. Why? Because for someone who cannot really bear the Bengaluru winters ..well Kedarkantha was no less than a life challenge. With not even a second of skin to be exposed to air, I survived India’s most favorite winter trek. Yes, this trek was as exciting as it sounds from my first paragraph! This was a surprise trek planned. Many came into the plan but had to drop out in between for various reasons. But still – We made it!! With initial advance booking of the trek via Thrillophia, we were promised that the trek group will consists of 18-20 people. But can you guess the number of people of our group? 105 it was. Oh yes, this was just one of our group with this number and there were atleast 20 groups more with similar numbers everyday. Yes, that wa...
