Trail To Peak!

2020 has indeed been the worst saddening years for most of us. For me, the weight of having to cancel the long pending trekking of the Himalayan ranges had added more pain. However, with having got extra time with family and many small outings with family 2020 ended pretty well! With the descending curve of COVID in Dec, our Org had also rolled out an update that we could return to our office(though not really compulsory) from Jan. I returned from my hometown to Bengaluru during the Christmas holidays and settled in. Bengaluru had almost returned to normalcy by then. So during one of our chai meet ups, one of our friends re-iterated the thought of trekking again in 2021. Since all of us wanted a much needed get-away, all of us without a second thought agreed that we replan our 2020 trekking and within a week we rebooked our slots for Deorital Chandrashila Trek via Indiahikes(IH)(Due to covid in 2020, we had received voucher from IH which we re-used). International Women's Day!!

Until recently, even I was of the opinion that we do not really need a separate day to celebrate the being of a woman. But with the increasing number of negative incidents every single day, it pains to accept that though we are in the 21st century, people with the same old cruel mentality that look upon woman as their assets rather than a priced possession still exists among us. Independence is probably one of the priciest gifts anybody would wish for. In today's world, where nothing is really certain it i

Maybe we are too arrogant to listen to these words time and again. But yes.. These words do make sense. We all may have had a time where giving up on something that we always dreamed of is the only possible solution we have thought of. But a little more struggle to hold on to things might have actually worked. If you have to let things go,then do it. If it were to be yours then surely it'll get back to you. There are loads of times where you might actually feel left out and all alone even when the people that surround you are your own friends. The reason maybe-that one person who makes a difference is not around you. The best way to escape from this problem is to smile and convince yourself that life goes on even when things fall apart. They say even your shadow abandons you when there is no light.    We make many friends in a li
